Navy to Invest $100M in STEM Education

Rear Adm. Nevin P. Carr recently held a forum to discuss that lack of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) skill in America's youth. 

The facts:

• US is 48th in the quality of STEM education in high school
• US is 27th in industrial nations in share of scholars who take STEM degrees in college
• Non-Americans constitute 57% of college grads in STEM majors

So the Navy is going to invest $100 million to help our schools fix this problems so that they can have better recruits through programs like STEM training for teachers.
